North Pole Limited Santa Train Rides 2023 – The Tradition Rolls On
The North Pole Limited returns in December of 2023. This will be the 2nd consecutive annual running of the North Pole Limited, and the 3rd all-time. Don’t miss the opportunity to ride with Santa, behind historic steam locomotive Baldwin No. 26.
Santa will be returning to Steamtown National Historical Site in downtown Scranton, PA again this year in December, to ride the North Pole Limited. The North Pole Limited trains are sponsored by the Iron Horse Society.
Boarding at the Steamtown Roundhouse, the North Pole Limited train ride is an hour-long round trip through the Steamtown Yards and downtown Scranton, to the Nay Aug Gorge.
Enter a magical realm, with roaming musicians playing Christmas carols, holiday treats, festive decorations, and Santa and the Mrs. This is your opportunity to have a heart to heart with the big guy in the red suit! And don’t be shy, children and adults alike are encouraged to wear pajamas, and indulge in the spirit of the season. Bring family and friends along, and settle in for a warm and cheery ride in our steam heated cars.
Trains will run on three different weekends this year, Saturday/Sunday December 9/10 and 16/17, and Friday/Saturday December 22/23. Each day, trains will depart at 10:00 am, 11:30 am, 1:45 pm, and 3:15 pm.
The price for tickets is $24 for adults, $14 for children ages 3-12, and $2 for children 2 years and under. Many trips sold out last year, purchasing tickets in advance is recommended.
