The Valley Community Library is once again partnering with Keep PA Beautiful, the NEPA Sierra Club, Queer NEPA and their youth council to pick up litter in the community. Teens, ages 13 and older, along with adults are invited to join these organizations as they pick up around the Viewmont Mall on Tuesday, May 24th. The event will go from 4:30 P.M. until about 7:30 P.M. Advanced registration is needed.
In March the Valley Community Library did an early community clean-up with only 3 volunteers at the Viewmont Mall. They collected 10 bags of litter in about 2 hours! Let’s see what a large group of volunteers can accomplish to make our communities greener, and more beautiful.
This event does count as community service hours.
